BRANCHING OUT - The History of the Carry On Branches
Soon after Carry On was established ex-servicemen in many parts of the country joined the organisation. In Tyabb, Mildura, Albury and Geelong there were small groups of members. The group in Albury was sufficient to form a branch of the Club, and it operated with a membership of between 10 and 20 from 1934 until 1943. As Carry On grew in the thirties efforts were made to establish a branch in Sydney, and although one was formed and did function for a few years, it never gained anything like the support it had in Victoria.
